MTV.com has declared this now to be official that Superstar Britney Speats will be opening the show at the MTV Video Music Awards telecast on sunday evening. "Well Now Its Offical" MTV.com shouted although Britney "will not be performing, she will open the show," reports the the website MTV.com. Not long ago a week ago Britney's spokesman Larry Rudolph completely denied any presence or involvement in the MTV Music Video Awards but now its all changed apparentely since Britney now says:

"MTV has long played an important role in my career," Spears said in a statement. "How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I'm excited to open the entire show, to say 'hi' to my fans and to be nominated." So now the fans play a huge part! Larry Rudulph also recently told the New York Daily News that "She did the promo for them, but there never were any plans for her to appear on the show" as he was referring to a PR stunt they did for Russel Brand.

However MTV.com quote from network president Van Toffler about her past appearances: "Britney has done everything from perform with a snake, lock lips with Madonna and prove that what happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas. I can't wait to see what she does to kick off this year's show." So we dont know what to expect from Britney Spears at this years MTV Music Video Awards Show as the MTV.com site states "It's unclear exactly what Britney has up her sleeve". Well there is some for of mis-communication here for sure! either Britney or her spokesman are changing their statements someone here is definitely not telling it how it is?
