MTV Music Video Awards 2008 - Britney Wins 3

The MTv Awards 2008 hosted by the British Comedian Russel Brand and Co-hosted with Britney Spears in a short silver mini-dress with a plunging neckline showcasing her svelte figure, looking as gorgeous as ever.

The show opened with the controversial Russel Brand by making striking comments about President George Bush the virginity of infamous teens the Jonas Brothers and finally Madonna

Russel Brand opened the show by amusing the audience however this resulted in making them feel nervous rather than humored! russel brand confidentally stated: "As a representative of the global community, a visitor from abroad, I don't want to come across a little bit biased, but could I please ask of you, people of America, please elect Barack Obama, please, on behalf of the world,"

he continued to say "Some people, I think they're called racists, say America is not ready for a black president.But I know America to be a forward thinking country because otherwise why would you have let that retarded cowboy fella be president for eight years."

Britney Spears, who has been nominated 16 times before but never won, thanked "God first and foremost for just blessing me like this" as she picked up the Best Video, Best Pop Video and Best Female Video awards for Piece Of Me. Britney Spears gave the top award to her fans when she said :"this is for the amazing fans out there for all of their support".

Winning 3 of the most prestigous MTV VMAs Britney Spears swept the boards of the MTV VMAs and has now really made her best come yet.

Ruseel Brand who has become a household named comedian in the UK is unknown in the States but still managed to woo crowds and praised Britney's stupendous awards by stating "Consider this the resurrection of Britney Spears," he said. "If there was a female Christ, it's Britney."

The ever so grateful Britney was overwhelmed as she was given a standing ovation from the star-studded crowd even before she opened her mouth.

Britney Spears payed great tribute to her fans for their support her family:

"my beautiful family, my two beautiful boys, for just inspiring me every day and my fans, this is for you".

and of course her manager Larry Rudolf and record label Barry Wise :
"thank you for always believing in me" as she dedicated the top award to her "amazing fans out there for all of their support".

"This means a lot," she said.

Russel Brand the great crowd pleaser mentioned this is a "launch of a very new Britney Spears era".

This years experience at the MTV VMAs for Britney Spears was certainly different to last years where she was ridiculed for her peformance of "Gimme More" and her personal life issues when she lost custody of her 2 children changed it all this year as the superstar introduced Rihanna's opening song and earned the audience's humor with after a short video clip of her and Jonah Hill where he is luring Britney by comedically tricking Britney into kissing him.

Also at the star studded were Chris Brown, Pussy Cat Dolls, Lil Wayne, Tokio Hotel & Link Park who also shone through by winning VMAs at the MTV Awards.
