Lily Allen Reveals Friends Kidnap Scare
Looking Glamorous and Gorgeous as ever Lily Allen was presenting the GQ Men of the Year Awards with Sir Elton John was said to be terrified after her friends kidnap ordeal.
Her friend was kidnapped and left in a car boot for 6 days.
Lily quoted:
"My friend Charlie was kidnapped a few weeks ago and was kept in a car boot for six days without any food or anything. It was really scary".
Lily Allen praised the Metroplitan police as she stated:
"Thank you to the Met for getting my friend back, we were all terrified. From what I hear, the police did a fantastic job".
The friend only named as Charlie and another man were routinely working in a West London Sports Store and 2 men stormed in and forced "Charlie" and another man into their car on 02nd August 2008.
The whole kidnap escapade was over money as the kidnapper demanded a ransom of £75,000 from the the 2 men's families as they were held hostage in a property in Thamesmead South East London.
Lily stated:
'He was in a car boot being driven around London before he was found. It was all over money.'
When the Met police foiled the plot six men were arrested in connection with the kidnap plot and four were charged with conspiracy to kidnap, conspiracy to blackmail and false imprisonment.
One man has been charged with two offences of kidnap and one offence of robbery. The sixth man has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
